Hiya,

I’m back!! Lots of changes as of late. The biggest one is I’M A MOM!!! Whoa! Time flew by so fast from when I found out I was pregnant to having a 5 month old pull my hair constantly.

I have been truly blessed with a beautiful family and a rockin’ husband (AKA: My baby daddy). He has stepped up to the plate in more ways than I could of ever imagined. I’m talking cooking, laundry, cleaning and even taking baby on weekends so mama can sleep (jealous ladies?).

I must say, having a baby is EXHAUSTING! I know people tell you all the time how hard it is and how you won’t get much sleep, and trust me, you won’t, you have no clue what you are in for until you have this little itty bitty thing staring you in the face and demanding attention and care. This tiny humans need a lot.

Another change is that while baby is still in the early stages of life, mommy will be taking a hiatus from jewelry making for awhile (cue the “awwwwws”). It’s a bit difficult for me to continue with Olivia (see above for reason), but no reason why I can’t continue the blog (at least for my sanity’s sake).

The blog will continue to showcase those stunning handmade items we love so much, but also a few other features, including my failures (and successes) of Pinterest, my DIY life, and my adventures in being a mom. Should I consider a blog name change? You decide. Please decide quickly and don’t say www.rememberlove.com because whoever owns it wants over $2,000 and this mama is NOT having that! F U dude!

Today, you have earned yourself a personal shopper, free of charge. Lucky You!! I’m going to create my…I mean…YOUR personal Christmas Wish List because, let’s be honest, when someone asks you what you want for Christmas, you have NO idea what to say.

Jewelry. Yeah, why the F not? After all we all like things that sparkle and noting sparkles more than jewelry (especially with a diamond in it).

So this Chevron pattern trend is not going away anytime soon so you might as well come to terms with it. I kinda like it. In fact, I really like it! Take a look at this adorable clutch. My family and I will be moving (again!) in a few months and we have to buy all new furniture (YAY!), but my husband and I can’t agree on anything. He enjoys the more modern-sleek look while I prefer a classic-chic apperance. Included in this war of furniture is our bedding. Oh, how I want comfy purple room with lavander comforters and lavander candles with a beautiful chandalier hanging overhead. Ahhhhhh, I can see it now. As I get settled into our new home, I’ve discovered that what once was just a jewelry hobby has become an absolute necessity. I itch to sit at my desk and start busting out some jewelry. I have a need to create or else I am not a happy camper.

So, since we have 3 rooms for only 2 people in our new home, my husband got his much bragged about “man cave” and I got my “woman cave” (guess who’s is cleaner?). My cave will become my sanctuary for creativity. I even have an ocean view with a balcony…BOOYAH! I’m so happy for this undisturbed piece of space.

Inspired by the ocean on this spectacular island, I made this:

For those who regularly read this blog, you are fully aware of my obsession. While it is certainly debatable whether if its healthy or not, I can safely assume it is not healthy for my pocket book.

What is this obsession you ask…PILLOWS! Every shape, every size, every color. A bed with white linens can drastically be altered by its decorative pillow. From a Moroccan theme to a Country feel, you can achieve your desired look by a few pillow tosses.

I’ve gotten to the point where I will be purchasing a sewing machine soon to teach myself how to sew, learn how to make pillow cases and make all the pillow cases I want. As soon as I make them I’ll post up pictures. Who knows, maybe even put a few up for sale.

I recently made a HUGE move from one side of the ocean to another. A stressful transition no matter how much you prepare for it , but a welcome one indeed.

One of my biggest concerns was Kingsley, our West Highland Terrier. Every bit of turbulence we hit or every odd engine sound the plane, my thoughts immediately went to my pupper wuppers (yes, thats his nickname, don’t judge!).

Well, he made it safe and sound and he didn’t even pee or poop in his kennel. He was so happy to see us.

Fast forward a week later (and a quick visit to Washington D.C.), we made a road trip to North Carolina to visit the most amazing in-laws in the world. Cue in Lupita, the gentle giant and you get this:

These to are inseparable, and by inseparable I mean Kingsley won’t stop following Lupita (the Great Dane) around the house and sniffing her butt, resulting in Lupita pawing the heck out of his face.

So I am a total beach girl. I’d lived in Miami my entire life up to about 8 months ago.
