So I am a total beach girl. I’d lived in Miami my entire life up to about  8 months ago. This of course has offered it’s benefits including:

• Year round sunshine
• Perfect beach weather, even during Christmas
• New Years on the beach are not that uncommon
• Flip Flops are acceptable any time, any where
• Spaghetti Straps tops are a staple of your wardrobe
• Great tans without the use of a tanning booth (after all, the sun is free)

Alas, even with all the good stuff, it does have some drawbacks including the absence of seasons. Well, not really absent, just different. Most places have all 4 while Miami (or Florida in general) has only 2, summer and hurricane season!

Where am I going with all this, I’m getting there, relax!

Now that I live in Prague, I have come to appreciate the changing of seasons. I realized the snow is wet, spring is colorful, and the summer with no AC is torture. Really?! Who thought of living with no AC during the summer in the Czech Republic, is a “good idea”?

Well, today as I was walking my dog at his local dog park and he sniffed excitedly at the tree, I looked up and noticed the leaves changing color and thought “HOLY SHI*T! Fall is COMING!”. The colors were spectacular. These trees had every shade of orange, brown, yellow. I clearly remember these trees being green a few weeks ago, and months before that, they had no leaves.

So, in honor of my first fall (technically), I want to dedicate this post to the beautiful shades of the season. Of course, I invite you to go Etsy.com and discover your own handmade goodies, but let me show you my favs…

Lately I’ve been in a pillow buying frenzy. I recently bought red pillows for our black leather couch. It matches a painting that Didi and her fiancé gave us over the holidays last year. My husband loves the paintings but hates the pillows (Whatever! Babe, if you are reading this, we have different tastes…mines is better!)

Although, I think he would much rather have these. They are AWESOME! Definitely unique and modern.  Made exclusively by Rukkola on Etsy Much better than the IKEA ones I picked up(Listen, that’s all they have here okay, and they were on sale sooooo…there!).

The first time I saw these fingerless gloves was while in Miami. I was like, WTF is that? Why would I need that…EVER?! Now I know and and now I appreciate them. Their reason for existence is so clear to me now…it’s to keep your HANDS WARM!

Did I mention it’s cold here in Prague right now? Yeah…again! It feel like summer lasted only a couple of days! Now that it’s cold, I’m going to pick up some of these for myself. I’m going to get all the colors of the rainbow. Lucky for me, the artist has just that. Every…single…color!
